The petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection for his life and limb and his associates, on the basis of his representation dated 02.03.2017.

2. Mr.R.Adaikalam, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Thiruppachethi Police Station, is present in Court today. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a First Information Report was registered in Crime No.26 of 2017 under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 324 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code on 25.01.2017.
