Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.23 of 2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein to any other Superior Officer within the District on the basis of the petitioner's representation forwarded to the 1st Respondent herein by the District Collector, Thoothukudi District on 20.06.2016.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.23 of 2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent to any other Superior Officer, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 20.06.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions would submit that the respondent police has filed status report stating that special teams have been formed to investigate this case and investigation is going on in a correct direction to find out the vehicle involved in the accident.

4. Considering the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vilathikulam, that the investigation in Crime No.23 of 2016 shall be done under his supervision.
