Heard Mr. G. Aravinthan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mr. M. Mahaboob Athiff, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2; and Mr. C. Venkatesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.

2.The petitioner has challenged the Tender Notification dated 26.02.2025 issued by the third respondent inviting bids for grant of licence in respect of the Municipal shops.

3.Mr. C. Venkatesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent, on instructions, submitted that during the pendency of the present writ petition, the impugned tender process has been superseded 2/5

and a fresh Tender Notification has been issued. 4.In view of the subsequent development, the challenge made in the present writ petition no longer survives for consideration. Since the impugned Tender Notification has been replaced by a fresh notification, no effective relief can be granted in these proceedings. 5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as having become infructuous.

6.There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
