Respondent PRAYER: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Special Court for the Trail of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai to dispose the case in Spl.C.C.No.1 of 2015 in Crime No.2 of 2013 on the file of the Special Court for the Trail of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai within the time stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner is present. Mr.P.Kandasamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondent. Heard both sides. 2.This petition has been filed to direct the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.1 of 2015 in Crime No.2 of 2013 within a time frame.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to the pendency of the above said case, the juniors of the petitioner are likely to be promoted except the petitioner. He also submitted that the case was taken on file in the year 2015 and the same is part heard stage.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that totally there are 2 accused and 16 witnesses and two witnesses were examined in this case and the trial has already been commenced before the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai and the said case is a trap case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the case expeditiously.

6. Accordingly, the Special Court for the Trial of Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Madurai is directed to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.1 of 2015 in Crime No. 2 of 2013 preferably within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and to report the same to this Registry. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
