O R D E R
1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue passport on the basis of the application submitted submitted by the petitioner dated 14.10.2024.
2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that criminal cases are pending against the petitioner before the jurisdictional criminal court, and therefore, the passport has not been issued in favour of the petitioner by invoking Section 6(f) of the Passports Act. The petitioner seeks a direction to approach the jurisdictional criminal court to obtain permission and thereafter make an application for the issuance of a passport.

3. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional criminal court for obtaining permission, and upon such application being submitted by the petitioner, the jurisdictional criminal court shall consider the same as expeditiously as possible.
4. There shall be no order as to costs.
