: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the respondents to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2017 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

Mr.Kannan, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Soolakkarai Police Station is present. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondents.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's neighbour Paulraj, who is a police man, had given a complaint against the petitioner to the second respondent police, based on which, a petition enquiry is conducted in C.S.R.No.21 of 2017 and both parties were advised to approach the Civil Court. Thereafter, Chitra has given a complaint against Paulraj. While so, Paulraj has filed O.S.No.41 of 2017 before the learned District Munsif, Virudhunagar, against Chitra and the same is pending.

3. In view of the above, no positive direction as prayed for by the petitioner can be granted. However, if there is any fresh threat to the life of Chitra from Paulraj, it is always open to Chitra to approach the police for necessary relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
