Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to change the classification/Assessment of the Petitioner's lands comprised in S.No.523/1A, 523/2 and 523/3 situated in Punjai Sangendi Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District from "Panchami Land" to "Private Patta Land" and consequently direct the fourth respondent to permit the petitioner to register encumbrances in respect of the said properties by considering the petitioner's representations dated 29.01.2024 and 28.02.2024 to the file of Respondent 1-3 and 4th respondent respectively within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks reclassification of the petition mentioned lands. It is seen that the fourth respondent has already written to the second respondent in this regard. Response is awaited. The second respondent will take a call in the matter as regards reclassification within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this 2/4

order. Based on the decision taken by the second respondent, the fourth respondent will carry out the conseqeuntial changes in the record. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
