O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J) The petitioner has filed this petition praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to direct the respondent Police to produce the person or body of M.Jeyanthi.

2. According to the petitioner, he is an M.Tech., Graduate working as an Assistant Professor in K.S.R.Engineering College, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. He appears to have fallen in love with the daughter of the third respondent, namely, M.Jeyanthi, who is a B.E.Graduate, having graduated from Anna University, Tindivanam. The petitioner would state that they have exchanged garlands and lived together at Chennai for more than six months. Alleging that both the petitioner and Jeyanthi belonged to different community, the third respondent has planned to 'Honour Kill' his own daughter, on account of the fact that she has fallen in love with the petitioner.

3. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has produced the detenue before this Court and we have questioned her as well as the petitioner. The parents of the detenue are also present before this Court.

4. The father of the detenue is an employee in a juice stall and her mother is an agricultural coolie. They have availed educational loan to educate their daughter and they have stated that at no point of time, they have threatened her to do away with her life. the detenue also, who in turn categorically stated that the allegation made by the petitioner that her parents planned to kill her is absolutely false. However, she states that she cannot forget the petitioner and she desires to go with him.

5. Considering the age of the detenue and the submissions made by her before this Court stating that there is no threat to her life at the instance of her parents, no further orders are required. Accordingly, this habeas corpus is disposed of.
