The petitioner seeks transfer of patta in his name pursuant to the settlement deed executed by his mother, namely, Pachaiammal. 2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Sathees, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 3.The relief sought for by the petitioner is only to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 21.03.2024 and further representation dated 23.01.2025. The petitioner has sought for mutation of patta from the name of his mother to his name, in view of the gift settlement deed executed by his mother in favour of the petitioner. 2/4

4.In view of the said request, there can be no impediment for the respondents to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner. Therefore, the second respondent being the competent authority is directed to consider the petitioner's application, dated 21.03.2024 and also representation dated 23.01.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
