This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb, on the basis of her representation, dated 02.04.2017.
2.The learend counsel appearing for the petitioner is present. Mr.P.Kandasamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.Heard both sides.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the 5th respondent has threatened the petitioner to withdraw the complaint given against the respondents 3 to 7 before the 2nd respondent police and in this regard, the petitioner has given a written representation before the 2nd respondent police on 02.04.2017 and also sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 04.04.2017 by registered post, seeking police protection, but no action has been taken by the respondents police on the representation of the petitioner.
5.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) states that the petitioner has given a complaint before the respondents police on 02.04.2017 against the respondents 3 to 7 and it was given CSR No.204 of 2017 and the enquiry is pending. 6.In view of the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation given by the petitioner, dated 04.04.2017, on merits and in accordance with law. 7.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
