ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner was a Sanitary worker in the respondent Corporation. She retired on 31.05.2020. The petitioner seeks disbursement of her terminal benefits. No exception can be taken to the said request.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation submits that the matter is being processed and the eligible amount will be paid within a period of eight weeks. The said submission is recorded. The respondent is directed to disburse the petitioner's terminal benefits within the aforesaid period. I make it clear that it will not carry any interest if payment is made within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Otherwise, it will carry interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement of the petitioner.

4. This writ petition is allowed on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
