2.Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents.

3.This Writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection while conducting elections to MDSPL 105 Vallal Nathi Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society at Kandamanur, Theni District on 07.05.2018 between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. 4.Though this Writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, the learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2018 on or before 06.05.2018.

5.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to give direction to the respondents. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim in his representation dated 26.04.2018, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 06.05.2018.

6.This Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.is closed.
