No. 498/2019/Si.Ma.Varu.A./Ni.A/dated 10.06.2019 and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay compensation for 19 cents acquired, out of 20 cents, which belonged to the petitioner.

2. With the consent of the counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the repsondents.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite registered documents in favour of the petitioner for 20 cents, compensation was paid only for one cent. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 03.06.2019 and seeks expeditious disposal of the same. 2/5

5. Mr.C.Satheesh, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and submits that the Project Director, National Highways would be necessary party to act on the petitioner's representation.

6. Considering the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to give a detailed representation to the Project Director, National Highways as well as the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter within a period of eight weeks, the second respondent in consultation with the Project Director, National Highways shall pass orders on merits, disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2019, in accordance with law.
