ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is unnecessarily subjected to harassment, and the second respondent police is frequenting to his house and hence, this petition came to be filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the case in Crime No.70 of 2026 has been registered on the file of the second respondent police against one Prabhakaran. In this regard, the second respondent police had frequented to the house of the petitioner only in search of the said Prabhakaran, who is none other than the petitioner's brother and otherwise, the petitioner was not at all harassed in this regard.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court.

In view of the above, the second respondent police shall not enter into the residence of the petitioner in search of the said Prabhakaran, except in accordance with the procedure mandated under the BNSS. With this direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. 27.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No sm TO:-
