O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that he is a Manager in Sri Raja Rajeshwari Enterprises at Dindigul and that one Mr.Alagappan, Managing Director of the said Company had given a complaint to the police, based on which a case in Cr.No.169 of 2016 was registered by the Dindigul Taluk Police Station on 25.03.2016 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 379, 506(ii), 427, 465 I.P.C. against one Duraipandi and others. It is alleged by the petitioner that the said Duraipandi and others are frequently threatening the petitioner and demanding that the case in Cr.No.169 of 2016 be withdrawn. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 09.03.2017 to the Superintendent of Police, Dindigul District and has filed the present writ petition for the above prayer.

2. Mr.S.S.Joseph Savari Doss from Dindigul Taluk Police Station is present before this Court.

3. As stated above, a case in Cr.No.169 of 2016 is pending investigation against Duraipandi and others. Under such circumstances, if there is any threat to the petitioner from the accused, liberty is given to the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the second respondent police and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and sufficient protection be given to the petitioner, so that no harm befalls him.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
