ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A3 who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B), 29(1) and 25 of NDPS Act, in Crime No.60 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused were found in illegal possession of 1.200kgs of Ganja. Hence, the case.

3.Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

4.There are three accused involved this case. The petitioner is arrayed as A3. Based on the confession statement of the other accused, the petitioner has been implicated as an accused. The petitioner along with A1 and A2 were in possession of 1.200kgs of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.4987 of 2023 Ganja. Therefore, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case.

5.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the quantity of Ganja involved in this case is 1.200kgs of Ganja and the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. sd/- 16/03/2023 / TRUE COPY / /03/2023 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
