ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.17 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused were found in illegal possession of 1.150kgs of Ganja. Hence, the case.

3.Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

4.There are two accused involved in this case. The petitioner is arrayed as A2 and he is also named in the FIR. The petitioner is https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.4976 of 2023 having one previous case of similar in nature. That apart, it is a case of under NDPS Act. Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for anticipatory bail.

5.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
