ORDER
Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of his appeal dated 04.11.2024. 2/5
3.Heard the learned counsel on either side.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the competent authority is the third respondent under Section 7 of the Act to hear an appeal against orders passed by the Special Tahsildhar/Settlement Tahsildhar. She would further submit that even though the petitioner's appeal has been preferred before the respondents 1 and 2, the third respondent is already seized the matter and would be passing orders on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Recording said submissions of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal as against the order of the seventh respondent/Special Tahsildhar on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
