ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners/accused 1 and 2 who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 09.03.2017 for the offences under Sections 120(b), 294(b), 364(A) IPC in Crime No.204 of 2017 on the file of the respondent/Police, seek bail.
2.The petitioners were arrested based on the complaint by one Subramanian alleging that the petitioners along with others abducted him and robbed his belongings and demanded ransom of Rs.10,00,000/- and after calling over the known person, they have gone to the defacto complainant's house and taken away passport, cheque books and gold jewels. They were arrested on 09.03.2017 and some of the incriminating materials has been recovered based on the confession given by the accused.
3.So far as these petitioners are concerned, though they claimed innocence, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the petitioners who were the brain behind the crime and by engaging henchmen, they used to kidnap wealthy persons and extract money. Already, for a similar offence, a case is pending against them and if they are released on bail, they will again indulge in similar kidnap and extortion.
4.Further, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the investigation in this case is in crucial stage and if the petitioners are released on bail, the entire investigation will come to standstill.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
