ORDER

The present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court, dated 19.10.2024 made in W.P(MD)No.24644 of 2024, wherein, this Court has directed the respondent to consider the representation of the writ petitioner for transferring her from Pudukottai to Tirunelveli.

2. The respondent has issued proceedings on 16.04.2024 pointing out that as on today, there are no vacancies for the post of Regular Staff Nurse in Primary Health Centre or Medical College Hospital or in ESI Hospital in Tirunelveli District. However, it is further pointed out that some vacancies may arise shortly in Tirunelveli District consequent to the promotion of Nursing Superintendent Grade-II and the request of the petitioner will be considered based on the merit and seniority.

3. In view of the said proceeding issued by the respondent, the contempt petition stands closed with the observation that the respondent shall consider the request of the petitioner on a priority basis considering the 50% disability of the writ petitioner.
