ORDER

The petitioner approaches this Court with a prayer to direct the respondent to provide adequate police protection for the petitioner's life and limb, based on his representation dated 18.02.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the State and also perused the materials available on record.

3. The main grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though the contents of the complaint given by the petitioner discloses commission of cognizable offences, no action whatsoever has been taken by the respondent police and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent/State on instructions would submit that the petitioner may be directed to invoke Sections 154(3) and 156(3) of Cr.P.C.

5. In the light of the remedy available, this Court is of the considered view that no order is necessary in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
