This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 23.01.2026 filed by the petitioner and cancel the illegal subdivision and fraudulent patta in respect of Survey No. 134/1B1A2, Chervaikaranmadam Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, and consequently issue separate patta in favour of the petitioner.

2. Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the second respondent would consider and dispose of the appeal dated 23.01.2026 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission and considering the limited scope of prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to 2/4

consider and dispose of the appeal dated 23.01.2026 filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
