ORDER

Seeking direction to the first respondent police to take appropriate action against the second respondent by considering his representation dated 09.02.2026, this criminal original petition is filed. 2.Since no adverse order is likely to be passed against the second respondent, notice to her is dispensed with.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complainant/representation to the first respondent police as against the second respondent with respect to cultivation in the subject land. However, no action has been taken so far. Hence, this petition. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that it is a case and case in counter and already complaint was received against the petitioner by the second respondent, in which, enquiry has been initiated. 5.Heard either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to put the petitioner as well as the second respondent on notice under Section 64 of BNSS and conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is further directed to appraise the progress of the investigation to the Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur Distirct, every Friday. The Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District is directed to monitor the ongoing investigation which is being undertaken by the first respondent and ensure proper conclusion of the same. 7.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
