This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue non-traceable certificate to the petitioner or in the alternative direct the respondent to take expeditious measures to trace the handbag of the petitioner so as to enable the petitioner to get a new passport from the passport authorities as per the complaint of the petitioner dated 12.03.2017.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he lost his handbag on 09.03.2017 at 7.30am, which contained his driving license, passport, experience certificate, educational certificates and cash of Rs.5,000/-. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a complaint by registered post on 12.03.2017 to the respondent police and has now filed the present petition for a direction to the respondent police to give non traceable certificate.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the
respondent. Mr.K.G.Ramachandran, Manapparai Police Station is present. On instructions, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the Police have called the petitioner for enquiry on 15.04.2017.
4. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to co-operate with the Police for enquiry and the Police shall conduct enquiry and issue a non traceable certificate with regard to passport, if the Police is satisfied about the genuineness of the petitioner's complaint.
