This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to direct 2nd respondent to give necessary protection to petitioner and his family members for their life and limbs by considering the petitioners representation dated 25.11.2016.

2. Mr.T.Rajendran, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Thiruneelagudi Police Station is present. When the matter was taken up for hearing, on instructions, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a petition enquiry has been conducted in CSR No.401 of 2016 and the same has been closed on 25.11.2016, as the dispute essentially appears to be civil in nature.

3. Under such circumstances, the prayer sought for, seeking Police protection to Ashok, Anbu, Ananth and the petitioner, cannot be given exclusively, especially in a case of this nature where there is a civil dispute between the petitioner and opposite party.
