O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.66 of 2014 before the concerned forum, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.C.Jeyakumar, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Gudalore South Police Station, Theni District, is present in Court today. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the investigation in Crime No.66 of 2014 was completed and a charge sheet was filed on 26.06.2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, against four accused, of which, two of them were shown as absconding accused and, therefore, the Magistrate has not taken the same on file.

3. In the considered opinion of this Court, that cannot be a good reason for the Magistrate not to take the final report on file and proceed with the matter in accordance with law. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, to take on file the final report in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Crime No.66 of 2014 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is closed with the above direction.
