Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A-1, in Crime No.1 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 174(3) Cr.P.C @ 498-A and 306 of I.P.C and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) for the respondent/State. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that there are totally four accused in this case. The petitioner/A-1 is the husband and the other accused are the in-laws of the deceased. She further submitted that due to dowry harassment the deceased committed suicide. Initially the case was registered under Section 174(3) Cr.P.C and the matter was referred to Revenue Divisional Officer for enquiry and based on his report, the offences are altered into under Sections 498(A) and 306 of I.P.C. She further submitted that there is a specific overt act as against the petitioner.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in Singapore and he is an innocent person and he has nothing to do with the alleged offence. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Considering the nature of offence and also considering the overt act attributed against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
