By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner is presently working as Assistant Director, Sericulture Department. He seeks promotion to the post of Deputy Director, Sericulture Department. The petitioner had earlier made a representation in this regard before the second respondent. That was negatived by order dated 09.11.2017. Questioning the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 26.04.2018.

appeal petition, dated 26.04.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
