ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner under Rule 24 of Tamil Nadu Village Panchayat (Assessment and Collection of Taxes) Rules, 1999 dated 22.02.2025.

2. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of, at the admission stage itself.

3. Seeking early disposal of the appeal filed by him under Rule 24 of the Tamil Nadu Village Panchayat (Assessment and Collection of Taxes) Rules, 1999, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition.

4. Heard both sides.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court hereby directs the third respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner, dated 22.02.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
