Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to conduct a survey and fix boundaries of the petitioner's land in Survey No.64/5A4, Patta No.5469 situated at Kovilangulam, Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to conduct a survey and fix boundaries of the petitioner's land in Survey No.64/5A4, Patta No.5469 situated at Kovilangulam, Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there are no rival claimants in respect of the subject property and that the respondents have already issued a notice to the petitioner informing that the land would be surveyed on 10.03.2026 and that the petitioner should produce the relevant documents.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the survey of the land belonging to the petitioner has been scheduled on 10.03.2026. 2/4

In view of the above submissions, this Court directs the first respondent to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries of the petitioner's land with the assistance of the second respondent, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to any rival claimants, if any. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
