O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No. 808 of 2016, dated 26.12.2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2. It is seen that the alleged offences attributed against the petitioner are under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner and the second respondent appeared in person and their identification is also verified by this Court and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that since the matter has been compromised, the second respondent agreed to quash the above said case in Cr.No. 808 of 2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

3. Considering the nature of allegation and also considering the memo of compromise filed by the petitioner and the second respondent, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the Cr.No.808 of 2016 to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

proceed with. Therefore, the entire proceedings in F.I.R.No.808 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent police in respect of the petitioner is, hereby, quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly. The joint compromise memo shall form part of the order of this Court.
