Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records connected with the detention order passed in No.6/BCDFGISSSV/2021 dated 03.03.2021 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu or body of the detenu namely, the petitioner's son i.e., Ammu Venkatesh, aged about 21 years, S/o Murugan, now detained at the Central Prison, Palayamkottai, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu namely, Ammu Venkatesh, male, aged about 21 years, S/o Murugan, who has been branded as "Goonda" by the second respondent in No.6/BCDFGISSSV/2021 dated 03.03.2021 as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.540 of 2021 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.1845, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIV) Department, dated 19.04.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked by the Government.

3. Recording the above submissions, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
