ORDER
With the consent of the counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the repsondents.
3. The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the authorities to dispose of his application for assignment of land in his favour. The petitioner relies on the report of the fourth respondent dated 29.11.2019 recommending the assignment in favour of the petitioner.
4. However, the learned Special Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the petitioner is not eligible for assignment since he has already owns lands in other survey numbers. 2/5
5. Be that as it may, this instruction is given to the Court today and no orders have been passed on the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2025.
6. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 08.01.2025 and also taking into account the report of the Tahsildar, dated 29.11.2019 and pass final orders on merits, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
