: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Hindu Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's sons A.M.Simharaj and A.M.Rhemuraj as expeditiously as possible not later than 1st week of June 2018.

the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.The petitioner seeks issuance of Hindu Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificates in favour of his sons. The second respondent is the competent authority to issue the certificate. The petitioner had already submitted an application in this regard on 28.08.2017. The matter is pending before the second respondent for the last nine months. The petitioner is expressing urgency, because, he is badly in need of certificates by the 1st week of June, 2018.
4.Considering this aspect, the second respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's application dated 28.08.2017, by holding an enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 24.05.2018.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
