This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members to protect their life and limb from the fourth respondent and their associates on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 22.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1 to 3.

3.On a reading of the petition and the supporting affidavit it is seen that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner's vendor and the fourth respondent. Under such circumstances, this Court cannot direct the police to give police protection and it is open to the petitioner to move the civil court for appropriate relief. However, if any cognizable offence is to be committed by the other side, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a police complaint and the same shall be enquired into and action would be taken in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
