ORDER:- Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.K.Ragatheesh Kumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, Government Advocate(Criminal Side) on Behalf of the Respondents, this Court made the following order: This petition has been filed to extend the time limit of the petitioner to execute the sureties and surrender before the concerned Magistrate Court.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that earlier this Court by an order, dated 12.02.2020 granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner on condition to appear before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of that order. But the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he has received the copy of the order only on 18.02.2020. During the total lock down period, he could not appear before the concerned Court and produce the sureties.
3.Considering the request, time granted by this Court vide order dated 12.02.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD) No.6864 of 2016 is extended by two weeks from today.
