ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the second respondent.

2.The petitioner had already registered himself as a Cable Operator.

The petitioner has enclosed necessary Registration Certificate issued by the Senior Post Master, Trichy, at Page No.5 of the typed set of papers. The petitioner had applied to the first respondent Corporation to enrol himself as Local Cable TV Operator for Trichy District.

W.P.(MD)No.6541 of 2020 3.It appears that the petitioner has already won a contract in this regard from the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner wants the first respondent to enrol him expeditiously as otherwise the contract awarded by the second respondent may be cancelled. I am of the view that the first respondent can very well consider the case of the petitioner favorably. This is because, the first respondent is not in any way prejudiced by granting the petitioner's request for enrollment.

4.Of course, the petitioner must fullfill other formalities such as filling up of relevant forms, furnishing all the requisite details and payment of enrollment fee, if any. The petitioner had given an application on 16.12.2019. The first respondent is directed to enroll the petitioner forthwith without any delay and in any event within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition stands allowed.

No costs.
