O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, directing the second respondent to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural programme (i.e) Adal Padal on 25.03.2023 at 07.00 p.m to 10.00 p.m in the evening of "Arlmigu Sri Ayyanar, Sri Mahakaiyamman Thirukovil Thiruvizha", Kokilapuram Village, Uthamapalayam, Theni District consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2023.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that because of some rivalry between the two groups, FIRs in Crime Nos.27 and 28 of 2022 have been registered against two community people. On that ground, he vehemently opposed to grant permission to conduct the programme. 2/5

4. The Tahsildar, Uthamapalayam, is directed to fix a date for conducting a Peace Committee Meeting and intimate the same to the parties. The parties are directed to participate the Peace Committee Meeting to be arranged by the Tahsildar, Uthamapalayam.

5. Depending out come of the resolution to be adopted in the Peace Committee Meeting, further action has been taken either by the concerned parties or by the concerned authorities. The entire process will be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
