ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing 2nd Respondent to take appropriate action and dispose petitioner complaint dated 11.02.2026.

2. Considering the limited scope of the order passed, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is the defacto complainant who had lodged the complaint to the second respondent police as against the third respondent for being defrauded by the third respondent to a tune of Rs.14,00,000/-. Since, there is no progress in the investigation, this petition is filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that they have received a complaint only through post without any supporting documents.

5. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

6. In this regard, the second respondent police is directed to issue summons under Section 64 of BNSS to the petitioner as well as the third respondent. On receipt of the same, the petitioner is directed to produce all necessary documents to substantiate his claim and thereafter the second respondent shall take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
