ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, to dispose the C.C.No.2 of 2017 on his file, as expeditiously as possible, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, a case has been registered against the petitioner in Crime No.11 of 2013, for the offences punishable under Sections 498 (A) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, on the file of the respondent police. After completing investigation, final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam and the same has been taken congnizance in C.C.No.2 of 2017. Even after four years of filing, there is no progress in the case. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.In view of the above, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, is directed to complete the trial proceedings in C.C.No.2 of 2017, within three months, from the date of receipt of a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6445 of 2022 copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to appear before the trial Court on all hearings without fail and co-operate with the trial Court to complete the trial.

5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
