O R D E R
On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.298 of 2016 on 08.08.2016 under Sections 420, 423, 463 and 464 of the IPC. Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegation of the FIR, this Court cannot give direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.298 of 2016 and file a final report within a time bound manner.
2.Today, Mr.V.A.Mohan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Papanasam Police Station, Thanjavur District, is present before this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.
4. In view of the fact that the FIR has been registered only on 08.08.2016, the direction as prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.298 of 2016 expeditiously and either file the closure report or final report, as the case https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
may be, after due intimation to the petitioner.
5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
