The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking direction against the first respondent/District Collector/ Chairman, District Rural Development Agency, Collectorate, Trichy to consider the representation given by the petitioner on 07.03.2023, with respect to unpaid amount of a sum of Rs.15,83,076/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs Eighty Three Thousand and Seventy Six only), towards the work already executed by the petitioner in his capacity as a Contractor.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner was allotted totally 22 number of works by the first respondent and he had completed all of them and also submitted bills before the first respondent. The first respondent has cleared 20 bills and paid to the petitioner. However, bills are unpaid for the remaining two works. Therefore, the petitioner had given a representation before the first respondent.

3.Mr.J.Ashok, the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents No.1 and 2 stated that there will be a meeting in this regard and thereafter, necessary orders shall be passed. 4.In view of the above facts, a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass necessary orders, on or before 31.07.2023.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
