Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to settle the pending amount of Rs.1,54,68,838/- for strengthening of providing BT Surface Road under the schemes of TURIP 2019-20, IUDM-2020-20 and 14th Finance Commission Fund with an interest of 8 percent till the payment of money and within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner had carried out certain contract works for the third respondent local body. Part of the bill amount alone has been settled. Balance amount is yet to be settled.

3.The third respondent is directed to settle the balance amount within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This writ petition is allowed on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
