ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct light music program during Anniversary festival in St. Thomas Church, Alambakkam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District on 09.05.2018 at about 07.00 p.m., onwards and provide adequate police protection.

2.Heard Mr.T.Lenin Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner wants to conduct light music programme in connection with the Church festival today at 07.00 p.m. There is no dance programme.

and further submits that the programme will be conducted only in a open ground and that no inconvenience will be caused to the general public.

5.Recording the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner and incorporate appropriate conditions to ensure a smooth conduct of the event. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
