PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to survey the petitioner's properties and fix boundary stones in respect of Survey No.231/11, Sub Division Re-Survey No.231/11A to an extent of 18 cents (728.46 sq.meter), old Survey No. 1009 situated at Ponmanai B Village, Thiruvattar Taluk, Kanyakumari District under the supervision of the 4th respondent for surveying the land, based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2026 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to survey the petitioner's property and fix the boundaries stones under the supervision of the 4th respondent and to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.02.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased the land through a registered sale deed (Document No. 723 of 2024, dated 22.02.2024), but when the petitioner attempted to survey the land, the adjacent landowner objected. Therefore, the petitioner seeks police protection to conduct the survey.

3. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader representing respondents 1 to 3, and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) representing the 4th respondent.

4. Considering the facts, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct an enquiry after issuing notice to both the petitioner and the objector. Following the enquiry, the survey of the land shall be carried out with the assistance of the third respondent. If police protection is required, the second respondent may approach the fourth respondent for necessary support. Further, the fourth respondent is directed to cooperate with the second respondent, should the need arise.
