The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents more particularly the 5th respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct function at Abirami Mahal, Tuticorin on 01.04.2023 between 10.00 AM and 8.00 PM and State Conference of Indu Makkal Katchi to be held on 02.04.2023 between 3.00 PM and 8.00 PM near Chidambaram Nagar Bus Stand, Tuticorin and also give adequate police protection to the conference and its participants.
2. Mr. B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation that was made by the petitioner was rejected by the order dated 20.03.2023.
4. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the above said order 3/7
itself, if so aggrieved. Even though the order is passed today itself, let the copy of the order be issued to the petitioner, so that he can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings.
