Prayer:- Petition filed under Section 482 of Code of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 to 8 to conduct enquiry and give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, her family members and her house property, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2023. ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct an enquiry and give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her house property by considering her representation dated 16.02.2023.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that originally the petitioner was not even permitted to enter into her own house by the relatives of the daughter-in-law and the respondents 4 to 8.

3. On earlier occassion, it is brought to the notice of this court that subsequently, the petitioner's daughter-in-law committed suicide and a case in Crime No.47 of 2024 was registered under sections 174 of Cr.P.C., 2/5

( 194(3) of BNSS, 2023) and the same is under investigation. Yet another development is that after the body was handed over to the relatives of the daughter-in-law of the petitioner, without taking the body to the burial ground, they had brought the body to the house of the petitioner and burnt and cremated the same in front of her house. In view thereof, there is huge tension and the petitioner is not even permitted to go inside the house. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that the entire house was ransacked and a two wheeler was also burnt.

4. This court already observed as to how cremation of a dead body is permitted in front of the house. It is now stated that the police has also registered a case in Crime No.151 of 2024 in respect of the same. Therefore, the petitioner can give a statement in the said case with reference to the loss of property also.

5. As far as the house is concerned, the matter was adjourned today. In interregnum, yesterday, the key has been handed over to the petitioner's another daughter-in-law and it is available in the nearby shop. Therefore, the petitioner can very well go to her house and reside there. Nobody can object her to living in that house. If at all, any person is 3/5

preventing the petitioner from entering into her house, the respondent police shall give protection. In respect of other matters, the cases are under investigation and the investigation, will take its own course.

6. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition shall stand disposed of.
