Prayer:Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the Sub-Inspector of Police, Eruvadi Police Station, Tirunelveli District not to harass the petitioner by causing interference into the petitioner's right of using his pathway situated adjoining to his house property. O R D E R

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Chidambaram, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Eruvadi Police Station, Tirunelveli District, is present before this Court. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that on the complaint given by one Laila, the respondent has registered a case in Crime No.83 of 2017 for offences under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) of IPC., and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, 1998, against the petitioner.

2. In view of the above, the prayer as sought for by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ petitioner cannot be granted, in the light of the law laid down by

this Court in Dorand v. The Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil [2016(2) CTC 286]. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
