O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, directing the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Cock-fight (without sword) on 16.04.2023, in order to breeding of all type of cocks and hens, make vigilance and protection for all type of cocks before public in Survey Number 126/1, Kothankulam Village, Thiruppuvanam taluk, Sivagangai District for "Tamil Chithirai Festival" in peaceful manner in consonance with order passed by this Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in W.P(MD).No.1832 of 2023 dated 01.02.2023, based on the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2023 and 14.03.2023, within a stipulated time that my be fixed by this Court. 2/5

2. M/s.Christy Theboral, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2 to 4. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 t0 4 would submit that the first respondent is the competent authority for granting permission to conduct the Cock-fight (without sword) and also submitted that the first respondent has received the representation of the writ petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 to 4.

5. In view of the above submission, the first respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 06.03.2023 and 14.03.2023 and pass suitable orders on its own merits, 3/5

within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Depending upon the outcome of the representation, the petitioner workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
