ORDER

The present writ petitions have been filed to call for the records from the file of the respondent herein proceedings bearing No. CB/TRY/81709/7Q/534/2023-24, dated 07.09.2023 claiming interest amount for the period from April 2022 to March 2023 to the tune of Rs.6,88,451/- and direct the petitioner to pay the ordered 7Q Interest amount in 24 (Twenty Four ) Equal Monthly Installments.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to remit the amount in installments.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the question of permitting the petitioner to make payment on installments will not arise.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is inclined to remit the amount of of Rs.6,88,451/- required under Section 7Q of the Employee's Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 by the respondents in installments, this Court is inclined to allow this writ petition by directing the petitioner to remit the said amount of Rs.6,88,451/- in 12 equal installments commencing from 10th April 2024. In the event of default by the petitioner for two consequent months, the respondents are at liberty to initiate appropriate action.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stand disposed of. No costs.
